Free Vintage digital images
I found a great site for vintage digital images - Digital Two for Tuesday. They provide 2 vintage digital images that are free to download every week and there are some very cute and whimsical images! Lots of sweet little children, ladies, and fairies. I love this one of 2 best friends and couldn't wait to use it. I've just left it blank for one of those occasions when you just need a general card. DawnSaturday, 27 February 2010
Craft Stamper Doggie

This sweet little doggie is the free stamp from this months craft Stamper mag and I have teamed him up with the Sugar Nellie stamp that I got when I subscribed to this magazine. They are both coloured with promarkers and I used a purple glitter sakura pen to add some dots and colour his flower. I thought I would also mention that Pollycraft have a fab Sweet Dreams springtime retro set out and a chance to win them here

Good Luck Cat Card
This beautiful 'Kitten against the Wall' stamp arrived today from a Passion for Stamps , it was a half price bargain ( and arrived very quickly) and I could not wait to use it! I used my tan promarker pen to colour the the cat I'm also going to try him with grey, ginger and white colour schemes to see how he comes out. Ruth at a Passion for Stamps has got some new digi stamps out and I am very tempted to get some - I love her images.Sunday, 21 February 2010
Little Issy Skipping Card
I love this free digital image called Little Issy Skipping. You can find her and many others on Wendys Digital Doodling blog. I've coloured her with promarker pens and layered her using My Minds Eye 'pretty please' spring papers that were free with Cardmaking & Papercraft MagazineSaturday, 20 February 2010
Fishing Birthday Card

Its my bosses birthday soon and yes, he is a keen
fisherman who just loves to go off to some remote
stretch of water and fish all day, its his way of
de-stressing - like card making is for most of us!
I put the fishing embellishments against an
embossed background ( cuttlebug d'vine swirl)

I've been Scrapbooking Today !

Although card making and ATCs are my favourite crafting hobbies, today I felt the urge to do a bit of scrapbooking. Most of my previous layouts have featured my children so I thought today I would find some photos of me and my Mother to do instead. On Boxing Day all the family descended on my house but they all had to bring a home made hat to wear. Mums is made from a blue plastic colander decorated with tinsel and Ipswich Town Football Club baubles. She has has a football season ticket for over 35 years so is a true blue supporter! The other layout is me with my recent haircut decorated with lots of flowers, ribbons and sparkle!

Disney Princess Birthday Card

AS I have an 8 year old daughter, I often have to make cards with her for the birthday parties she is invited to. Disney Princesses are very popular and always go down well. This Snow White sticker was free with one of her comics but she looks good layered against some bright spring tulip papers doesn't she!

What a Cheeky Monkey!
Isn't this such a cute little upside-down monkey! He was a free digi stamp and I thought he would make a great card for my little nephew. He was coloured with promarker pens and layered against a scrap piece of green patterned paper against plain orange to make it stand out a bit more! Finished off with a die cut flower and leavesSaturday, 6 February 2010

Docrafts Goodie Bg

I held out as long as I could but had to give in today and buy the latest Docrafts goodie bag - I just love the colours in the papermania capsule collection!
The background papers are yummy and the embellishments are fab, especially the bows and flowers. Here are 3 ATC's I made today for various docrafts swaps using them

Flourish Bird Card
I treated myself to a set of bird stamps from personal impressions (well ,it is pay day!). This shadow swirl stamp was layered onto a recycled piece of Christmas card (can you spot the holly leaves?) and black card then layered over a piece of black flourish vellum free with Making Cards Magazine and designed by Nancy Watts - I finished it off with a cute red bow and Happy Birthday sentiment. It's quite striking isn't it!!Sunday, 24 January 2010
Mothers Day Card
This card is a bit unusual for me as it doesn't involve stamping, promarkers or using my cuttlebug! However purple and lilac are my favourite colours and it has a picture of a lovely white fluffy cat that has been layered with silver mirri board. I've made this for the SOS request for Mothers Cards to send to our troops overseas, so hope it suits to someones Mum!Saturday, 23 January 2010
Skipping Issy Card

Wendy has some super free digital images and this is her latest one called 'Issy Skipping'. I used some bright promarker shades of cyan and plum for this card as I though she looked such a strong characher, I also gave her auburn hair as I have just bought some new brown pens!

Simple Sympathy Card

I had to make a sympathy card for a friend who has just suffered a bereavement and I wanted to do something simple but elegant. The drooping flower stamp is by Hero Arts and was heat embossed in silver on black card and layered against silver mirri card with a small red ribbon and circular sentiment. I hope it is suitable.

Sizzix order has finally arrive
At last my sizzix mega sale order has arrived and like many people it was not complete - 3 items missing out of 8 and of course, 2 of those were the ones I really wanted! However I did get this cute owl on a branch and decided to use it first. The flowers were made with my new blossoms nestie which arrived from USA the same dayMonday, 11 January 2010
Travel the World!

I always struggle with those difficult male birthdays but hopefully my uncle will like this one. The Motorbike stamp I won ages ago and have never used before. I coloured parts of it with a green sakura pen and distressed the edges with brown ink. I then layered using oval scalloped nesties and a scrap of spotty paper from my stash. The background map was torn from an old stamp album!

Making Cards Magazine

It was well worth trudging into town yesterday through all the snow as I picked up a copy of Making Cards Magazine and it had these fabulous hot pink and black free papers and vellums designed by Nancy Watt.
So far I have made these 9 cards with another 4 in production (waiting for the glitter to dry). All I have have added are a few ribbons, flowers or swirl embellishments. I know a few friends who I hope will love these as their birthday cards!
Smiffy has a super blog candy to be given away on her site - check it out!

Patience and Pussy Cat
This is one of the first digital stamps I downloaded and also one of my favourites! Its from Mo's digital pencil and is call Patience - not sure if thats the girls name or what the cat has to put up with her cuddles!I have coloured it with lilac, grey and blue promarkers and layered it onto purple and lilac papers with some spotty and silver flowers which were free with a magazine. I finish it off with a purple strip with silver peel-off to read 'Have A Wonderful Day'. I hope you are having a good time in all this snow and able to do a bit extra crafting in the warm!

China Belle Thank You Card
Wendy has some fantastic freebie digital images of Tilly and Belle on her site as well as a super followers blog candy giveaway . I thought this one of China Belle would make a great Thank You card to my Grandmother for her kind Christmas gifts. She was coloured with promarker pens and layered with oval nesties against some vibrant paper that was a freebie from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine a while ago
Love Cats Valentine card
I used the sweet 'Moonlight Cats' stamp from Funstamps for this card. Rather than stick to traditional reds for a valentine card, I thought I would use green, purple and pale blue! The background was made with the cuttlebug texture embossing folder and the circles paper was a freebie from a magazine. Finished off with prima flowers, brads and pale blue ribbon from stash

Cute card!
I was lucky enough to win 2 cute teddy stamps made by Dimension Fourth from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine. I coloured this one with promarkers and layered him onto an oval which had swiss dots embossed on it and cut out a balloon and swirl shape. I'm waiting for my order from the sizzix mega sale so I can make a number 2 to put in the balloon, ready for my Nephews 2nd birthday
