New Moon ATC

This ATC was made with clear heat embossing of a fir trees stamp on a black card, which were then washed with cosmic shimmer watercolours then a round moon painted in the sky with pearlesant white comic shimmer, its difficult to get the shimmery effect in a photo!

Another CRAFTRAK Exchange Card

I'm really enjoying the CRAFTRAK card exchange - I love being able to see how many miles your card is travelling on a map and the fun of receiving some lovely cards from new friends.This is my latest card that will go off on its travels with one of my favourite cat stamps. Anyone Else Craftrakking??

Has anyone else joined the Craftrak Card Exchange? You buy A7 cards with a special code on them and send thems as RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) to others on www.craftrak.com and you can track their progress online, they can then be forwarded on to others and end up taking a trip all over the place. I registered for free and before I had even purchased a pack of cards (£4.99 for 20) had been send 2 cards. There is even a jam swap where you add an embellishment to a card as it travels around. I'm just about to register this little Hedgie card and send him off on his roadtrip

Dog with a Rose!

Isn't this a sweet little digi image of a dog holding a red rose between his teeth, I thought it was very cute! Today was my Mums birthday so I treated her to lunch and bought her some flowers. she loved the wren birthday card I made also. However I was beaten by my daughter Libby who made her Nannie 3 different birthday cards each with a cat on them!

Cosmic Shimmer ATCs

Cosmic shimmer paints really do live up to their name, I love the shimmering effect as a background. These 4 atcs were made with the turquoise ocean, emerald gold and pearlescent watercolour paints and the 2 on the right hand side also had rich gold shimmer mist sprayed on. Unfortunately they do not photograph very well so you dont get the full effect!

Is Spring here yet?

Well there might not be many flowers in my garden yet but I still want to put spring blooms in my cards now! I hope they will be popping up soon, but at least the cold weather means more time for crafting!

Jungle Parade for postpals

I made this card to send to Ben, a child on the postpals website - they encourage you to 'post a smile to a sick child', just by sending a card to a seriously ill child and their siblings. You can help to make a difference to their lives and I encourage you all to join in if you can.

Vintage Golfing Card

This fab vintage image is free from Digital Two for Tuesday site, coloured with promarkers and I have teamed it up with a metalic card run through the cuttlebug with my new Fleur De Lis embossing folder and also a oval nestie with swiss dots.

Sugar Nellie Apple Girl Card

This girl with her basket of apples by Sugar Nellie is just sooo sweet! I teamed her up with papers from the Papermania capsule collection and, for a change, added a bow to the centre of a flower for the embellishment. Just off to prepare a special tea for my Mum who is coming round soon, we are celebrating Mothers Day early here!

Another new embossing folder

I bought a Quickutz embossing folder for use with my Cuttlebug, this one is called lines and dots and features as the background in this card of a little baby playing in the paddling pool, I know it is a bit summery but thought it was a very sweet digi image and I am hoping the weather will warm up very soon!

New Cuttlebug Folder!

I treated myself to a new Cuttlebug folder yesterday - its called Jewells and has butterflies and swirly leaves on it, you can't really see much of it on this card, but I really like it and hope I will get lots of use out of it in the future!

My Mums Wren Card

Had some time to myself today so have managed to make my Mothers birthday card - she loves wrens and her house is just full of pictures and china ornaments of them - so I hope she likes this! The background is from this months Making cards magazine designed by Nancy Watts and the bird stamp is a new release from Jayne Netley Mayhew

Wedding Day Pussy Cat Couple!

My niece is getting married this summer so I have made this card for her, the background is a Nancy Watt vellum from Making Cards magazine with an oval scalloped nestie card run through the d'vine cuttlebug folder. The Fat Cat couple are designed by David Parkins for Simply Cards & papercraft Magazine. I hope she likes it!

Free Vintage digital images

I found a great site for vintage digital images - Digital Two for Tuesday. They provide 2 vintage digital images that are free to download every week and there are some very cute and whimsical images! Lots of sweet little children, ladies, and fairies. I love this one of 2 best friends and couldn't wait to use it. I've just left it blank for one of those occasions when you just need a general card. Dawn

Craft Stamper Doggie

This sweet little doggie is the free stamp from this months craft Stamper mag and I have teamed him up with the Sugar Nellie stamp that I got when I subscribed to this magazine. They are both coloured with promarkers and I used a purple glitter sakura pen to add some dots and colour his flower. I thought I would also mention that Pollycraft have a fab Sweet Dreams springtime retro set out and a chance to win them here

New Jayne Netley Mayhew Wren

My mother loves wrens and she collects these china birds, so when I saw this new stamp by Jayne Netley Mayhew I just had to have it! Her birthday is in March so I have a bit of time to experiment with it before I make her birthday card.

Good Luck Cat Card

This beautiful 'Kitten against the Wall' stamp arrived today from a Passion for Stamps , it was a half price bargain ( and arrived very quickly) and I could not wait to use it! I used my tan promarker pen to colour the the cat I'm also going to try him with grey, ginger and white colour schemes to see how he comes out. Ruth at a Passion for Stamps has got some new digi stamps out and I am very tempted to get some - I love her images.

Fishing Birthday Card

Its my bosses birthday soon and yes, he is a keen

fisherman who just loves to go off to some remote

stretch of water and fish all day, its his way of

de-stressing - like card making is for most of us!

embossed background ( cuttlebug d'vine swirl)

Forever Friends Card

I was lucky enough to win a Forever Friends Party Time paper pack from Docrafts Creativity Magazine today, so of course I could not wait to use it to make some cards with, the papers are so pretty!

I've been Scrapbooking Today !

Although card making and ATCs are my favourite crafting hobbies, today I felt the urge to do a bit of scrapbooking. Most of my previous layouts have featured my children so I thought today I would find some photos of me and my Mother to do instead. On Boxing Day all the family descended on my house but they all had to bring a home made hat to wear. Mums is made from a blue plastic colander decorated with tinsel and Ipswich Town Football Club baubles. She has has a football season ticket for over 35 years so is a true blue supporter!

The other layout is me with my recent haircut decorated with lots of flowers, ribbons and sparkle!

Disney Princess Birthday Card

AS I have an 8 year old daughter, I often have to make cards with her for the birthday parties she is invited to. Disney Princesses are very popular and always go down well. This Snow White sticker was free with one of her comics but she looks good layered against some bright spring tulip papers doesn't she!

What a Cheeky Monkey!

Isn't this such a cute little upside-down monkey! He was a free digi stamp and I thought he would make a great card for my little nephew. He was coloured with promarker pens and layered against a scrap piece of green patterned paper against plain orange to make it stand out a bit more! Finished off with a die cut flower and leaves

It is packed full of lovely vintage images, backing papers and lots of templates.

These are some of the first ATCs I have made with them, I'm sure I will get lots of use and inspiration from it
