Steam Punking
Despite what everyone else seems to be doing, I haven't spent this extra time in lockdown baking bread and cupcakes, hosting quizzes on zoom, growing all my own vegetables, making a quilt or working out with Joe Wicks
No .... but I have made loads of birthday cards in all sorts of different styles and themes!
Today I have been steampunking (is a that a real word?)

Masculine Makes
Men are always so difficult to not only make cards for, but also to find the right presents for.
Here's a few cards that could be suitable for men - no flowers, butterflies or pretty accessories on these!
There ones are all left blank inside, so could be used for a variety of occasions.

Some More for the Men
Someone has kindly given me their old card making stash and there was lots of male themed papers and images in it!
These are a few quick birthday cards I have made - looking to put together some Fathers Day cards, as well
Finally, here's a picture of Freddie lying in my craft room. He has settled in during his first week with us - he is a very vocal cat, who is always meowing or chirping to remind us he is here! One cat. Millie, has accepted him, the other cat, Jinny, still gives the odd growl as she wanders past.

A Few More for the Boys
As I have a real lack of men's cards in my spares and charity boxes, I'm making a real effort this weekend to make some masculine cards
It's a bit hard to see, but the black circle has an impressed tread like a tyre
These ones feature the standard men's themes of motorbikes, tools, beer and sports!

Cards for the Men
I picked up a Docrafts Goodie bag from The Range that had been reduced from £15 to only £5. It has lots of male themed papers and embellishments, so I've got stuck in to make some much needed masculine cards for my card box!

From the oldest to the newest piece of stash...
As a contrast to my last post about my oldest pieces of stash - here is one of my quickest makes! I bought this copy of a Debbi Moore magazine off eBay.
It arrived in the post about 9.30 am and within 20 minutes I had flicked through, removed the papers and made this card!
I really like the seaside themed papers and it seems a contrast to the cold and blustery weather outside.

Simply Cards Magazine ....
The Kanban T shirt toppers have been great to make up birthday cards for the teenagers and men who don't want to have cars or sports on their cards

A Few Mens Cards
Looking through the cards I have made recently, I realized that they were all a bit girly - I really needed to start making a few for the men around here!
So I popped down to the Range and picked up their Masculine themed goody bag and had a play.
I am stumped what to do with the sports car shaped cards, so will have to google to find some inspiration. These are what I came up with some of the rest of the stash!

T Shirt Cards for the Men in My Life!
I picked up a bargain sheet of Mens T shirt die-cut toppers made by Kanban for only 99p from eBay.
Men are so hard to make for aren't they, especially those who don't like football, sport or fast cars. I thought these would be good for those teenagers and young men in the family, after all, they all wear t shirts constantly.
I also used up lots of scraps of paper, matching them to the different colours of the t shirts.
I'm now off to take daughter to the Mini-farm they are holding in the centre of Stowmarket today, she is looking forward to feeding the goats, stroking the pony and holding a chick. Afterwards we will probably take a picnic to Needham Lake and feed the ducks.
