I loved the Kenban Vintage Christmas card kit that comes free with this months Papercrafter Mag and these are the first cards I have made using the die cuts from the kit
They have a lovely traditional feel to them, ideal for my older relatives!
Plus this fab golden sparkly robin background paper!
Was chuffed to see one of my cards featured in this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine when it popped through the door this morning - it's the black T-shirt card. The Kanban T shirt toppers have been great to make up birthday cards for the teenagers and men who don't want to have cars or sports on their cards
I picked up a bargain sheet of Mens T shirt die-cut toppers made by Kanban for only 99p from eBay.
Men are so hard to make for aren't they, especially those who don't like football, sport or fast cars.
I thought these would be good for those teenagers and young men in the family, after all, they all wear t shirts constantly.
I also used up lots of scraps of paper, matching them to the different colours of the t shirts.
I'm now off to take daughter to the Mini-farm they are holding in the centre of Stowmarket today, she is looking forward to feeding the goats, stroking the pony and holding a chick. Afterwards we will probably take a picnic to Needham Lake and feed the ducks.
I picked up 4 sheets of Kanban Jungle Buddies toppers for only 99p from eBay this week.
I thought they would be useful of older childrens cards (7-12 years olds). I struggle with ideas for them as they don't want really want babiesh cute cards, do they!
I had the day off today and spent the morning watching daughter at her sports day - it was very cold! I then popped into my local craft shop to get my ticket for a local papercraft show on Sunday and spotted a set of Kanban male word toppers which matched the free papers from Creating Cards magazine which then just fell into my basket. I then spent the afternoon trying to warm up by making these cards. Just like buses, the inspiration for cards for men seem to come along together!!
I took a trip to Bury St Edmunds today and just had to pop into the 2 very good craft shops there! I picked up some great sentiments and colour-me ovals from Craftwork cards and this set of bird toppers from Kanban. My mother loves wrens and so the orange card will be for her birthday later this month. I am taking her on a weekend trip to London to see the Titanic artifacts exhibition at the O2!
