Christmas Nuvo Drops

Seems like I am using Nuvo drops on nearly every Christmas card that I make this year!

I am using several different colours to add a bit of texture and interest to the cards

as well as adding white drops to any snowy scenes!

POW!

I invested £2 in The Works on these Superhero stickers to help me make some cards suitable for young boys and teenagers, always tricky to find a suitable subject for them!

The bright, vibrant colours meant I was also able to use up some more of my odd scraps of paper

I also add a few drops of bright lime green Nuvo Drops to the next card!

Nuvo Drops Storage

Since January my Nuvo drops collection has expended quite a bit!

It is recommended that the bottles are stored upside down to stop the nozzles clogging, so when I saw that their stackable storage rack was back in stock at Tonic, it seemed a good idea to get one!

The stepped storage makes it easy to see the bottles at the back when picking the right shade and type of drop to use.

The drops have been appearing on so many of the cards I have made recently!

Getting a Nuvo Collection

For many years I have used Ranger Liquid Pearls to add embellishment to my cards, but I have got fed up of having to clear the nozzles with a pin every time I want to use them. So I am gradually swapping to Nuvo drops, as they don't seem to suffer from nozzle clogging.

They are more expensive, but the bottles are nearly twice the size and so last much longer.

So far I have 6 bottles of Crystal drops, 2 bottles of the translucent Jewels drops, 2 bottles of Glitter drops and 2 bottles of vintage drops. I think there are over 100 different colours and types, so I have a long way to go!

Nuvo Jewel Drops

I bought this bottle of Nuvo Jewel Drops (in Pale Periwinkle) on impulse to try out, because I liked the colour. They dry translucent and look just like little droplets of water, so pretty!

I'm now digging out some cards I made a while a go, to add a bit more embellishment. Might have to buy another bottle to see the different colours - sea breeze and  rosewater sound tempting!
