A Wedding Card today

So many weddings have been postponed this year and there is still no certainty that large weddings with lots of family and friends will be allowed for a while yet.

But despite that, I've made a wedding card!

It started off uncovering the 3 leaf charm toppers at the bottom of a box of bits and pieces and thinking 'what the heck can I do with them?'  I matched them up with some other odd bits such as the ribbon, flowers and hearts to make a silver and white based card with touches of glitter.

Wedding Anniversary

Having just celebrated my 35th Wedding Anniversary, I realised that I needed to make some anniversary cards to put in my (ever growing) charity card box. We should have been in New York this week to celebrate, but it was not to be. Instead a visit to the seaside, to walk  along the prom and eat fish and chips was the best we could do.

Looks like it will be a long time before we get the money refunded, so can't make any plans. In so many ways, this will be a year to remember!

Two Weddings and an Anniversary ....

Following on from yesterdays post I made 2 wedding cards with the Bride and Groom Silhouette die

Then finished off with a wedding anniversary card that features one of the Honey Doo stamps embossing in silver and coloured with watered down distress oxide inks to give it a delicate feel

Two of a Kind

I bought this oval lace die set from AliExpress  - a great source a cheap dies direct from the manufacturer!

It cost $3.06 including postage, a weird amount I know! I have bought several dies, ranging from $1.50 upwards, don't think I have paid more than $4 for any of them.

I paired it with a different white embossed background for this wedding card

I also bought these balloon and cloud dies, which has been used on several cards so far!

CAS Kraft Wedding Card

A fairly Clean and Simple Wedding or Engagement card - made with a Craftwork Card Circle topper from their tag pad layered over a cream doily on a Kraft card.

 An easy and quick make!

Very Easy Vellum ...

I don't often use vellum in my cards, I'm never sure if the double side tape will show through! However I have bitten the bullet and yesterday made 2 cards with vellum backgrounds

This zingy green card was made with dies cuts sent over from Laura in Canada

Whilst this card was made for a friends wedding anniversary with a piece of silver leaf vellum that has been sitting in my stash for years!

Wedding Bells are Ringing.....

......at least in my head whilst I was making these Wedding Cards!

I've been asked to make a selection by the shop where I sell some of my cards, so dug out some stamps and suitable embellishments from my stash and had a play.

I love a good Wedding...

.... and we have one coming up in the family soon when my niece Rachael gets married to Jamie.

Rachael is not a fussy type of person so I wanted to make them a card which she would like - hope this fits the bill!

Another Use for my Newly discovered Stamp

In a forthcoming family wedding the groom is being married for the third time at the age of 50, so I racked my brains for something suitable and remembered that lovely heart stamp.

Its stamped in Tim Holtz Weathered Wood distress ink, which comes out as a lovely silvery grey. Then I layered on silver and pearlised paper embossed with my new folder which gives it a bit of a lacy look.

A Hat for the Wedding!

I just love wearing a hat at a wedding - the bigger the better and here is a photo to prove it from last summer.

As I haven't been invited to Kate & Williams wedding, I made this card instead using a vintage image downloaded from Digital Two for Tuesday site - they have some unusual old images on there and all for free!

Hanglar Cyclist

The image is a cute hanglar boy on his bike and I've used autumn colours and a little felt bunny rabbit as embellishment.

No time for crafting this week as it is my Nieces Wedding tomorrow - this wedding is a full traditional wedding in a small country church and has been planned over the last two and a half years! Congratulations and best wishes for the future Kerry & Glenn.

Wedding Day Pussy Cat Couple!

My niece is getting married this summer so I have made this card for her, the background is a Nancy Watt vellum from Making Cards magazine with an oval scalloped nestie card run through the d'vine cuttlebug folder. The Fat Cat couple are designed by David Parkins for Simply Cards & papercraft Magazine. I hope she likes it!
