Cats Galore

It was over 2 years ago that I bought a pack of cute Nitwit Cat Images, and despite making loads of cards with it, I still have at least 3/4 of the pack left!

It's a good job that most of my friends and family like cats!

Wedding Anniversary

Having just celebrated my 35th Wedding Anniversary, I realised that I needed to make some anniversary cards to put in my (ever growing) charity card box. We should have been in New York this week to celebrate, but it was not to be. Instead a visit to the seaside, to walk  along the prom and eat fish and chips was the best we could do.

Looks like it will be a long time before we get the money refunded, so can't make any plans. In so many ways, this will be a year to remember!

Die Cutting

This weekend I've been using my Big Shot and doing lots of die cutting - this cute mouse and toadstool is from Creative Expressions and is from their paper cuts Edger range

I've made several variations of this cats climbing over grid - but this is the first time I have used a yellow scheme

It's difficult to make Get Well Cards for men, who don't really want flowers or cute animals! I thought this simple card would fit the bill for a builder friend who hurt himself recently.

Easily Distracted!

I was searching for something else, when I came across these gold and silver pots of Starlight paints from Imagination Crafts which I bought back in Summer 2016! I was going to do some embossing but ended up painting instead.

They have only been used a couple of times, so it seemed a good idea to paint some wooden shapes. The heart and cats will end up on the Christmas tree, the sparkly reindeer in cards and I'm not sure what to do with the golden  sheep shape!

Cats & Dogs wearing hats

These cute foam cats & dogs wearing Christmas hats were part of my haul when I went shopping in the USA last month.

I also cut out lots of  black cats & pumpkins using the dies I bought there, to put in the Halloween sweetie bags that I handed out last night

It's A Cats Life - Hunkydory

As a keen cat lover and home to 4 of those furry felines, I couldn't resist the new range by Hunkydory called It's a Cats Life

Their images are just adorable and feature several different breeds of cats - plus very cute kittens!

I bought the papercraft A5 pad, but they also have luxury toppers, stamps and papers in the range!

Sorry - More Cats!

Following on from my last post, I'm afraid here are more cards featuring our feline friends!

I couldn't resist the 'Paws for Thought' topper pad by Hunkydory that I found in The Range yesterday - I just had to have all those cute fluffy cats and kittens!!

Pets Galore!

I treated myself to this set of pet die shapes which includes cats, dogs, a goldfish and rabbit!
They are made by First Edition and cut beautifully!

I just has to add a couple of carrots to the bunny rabbit card - think I will be using this for some of my Easter cards this year. I loved the sausage doggie too!

Photos of our New Kitten

These are the cute, adorable kittens we have just adopted from the Blue Cross - our local branch is current full up with black kittens and cats and put out an appeal for help - and who could resist these! They are an 11 week old brother and sister originally called Grace and Gordon but now named Millie and Moxxi by the kids (don't ask why!)

Moxxi, the boy, has the white paws and bib and is already proving to be bold, adventurous and cheeky!

Millie is completely black and very petite. She is a bit more refined and cautious, but loves sitting on your lap and being stroked.

Tomorrow we introduce them to our existing cat - not sure how he will react as he is very timid and shy as he was a rescue cat - but we will make sure he gets lots of fuss and cuddles too!

Wedding Day Pussy Cat Couple!

My niece is getting married this summer so I have made this card for her, the background is a Nancy Watt vellum from Making Cards magazine with an oval scalloped nestie card run through the d'vine cuttlebug folder. The Fat Cat couple are designed by David Parkins for Simply Cards & papercraft Magazine. I hope she likes it!

Good Luck Cat Card

This beautiful 'Kitten against the Wall' stamp arrived today from a Passion for Stamps , it was a half price bargain ( and arrived very quickly) and I could not wait to use it! I used my tan promarker pen to colour the the cat I'm also going to try him with grey, ginger and white colour schemes to see how he comes out. Ruth at a Passion for Stamps has got some new digi stamps out and I am very tempted to get some - I love her images.

Love Cats Valentine card

I used the sweet 'Moonlight Cats' stamp from Funstamps for this card. Rather than stick to traditional reds for a valentine card, I thought I would use green, purple and pale blue!
The background was made with the cuttlebug texture embossing folder and the circles paper was a freebie from a magazine. Finished off with prima flowers, brads and pale blue ribbon from stash
