In The Christmas Spirit!

I've been in the Christmas spirit recently and made loads of cards. I've finished my general ones but still have to make those special, close relative ones, which I find a bit harder - especially the menfolk.

I'm now off for a short break to Somerset for half term - leaving No 1 son in charge of the cats and goldfish.

I will be keeping an eye out for any craft shops on my travels!

Hanglar Christmas Card

The cold snap and central heating puts me in the mood for making Christmas cards!
This Hanglar stamp is coloured with my trusty promarker pens and the card is embellished with tattered roses in 2 corners

It's a traditional Christmas!

So far most of the Christmas cards I have made this year have had a modern colour scheme such as pale blue and lilac or pink and lime green. They are also a bit cute and sparkly. But I need to make some more traditional cards for the older members of my family. I thought these Kanban robins were ideal!

Congratulations to the blog winner

Using the very low tech method of bits of paper with everyones number written on it, I drew no 16 out of the hat - so congratulations to Rosalee M from Canada!

Please let me know your address so I can get your goodies off to you!

Like most people I am now in the middle of making loads of Christmas cards - I am giving most of them to a local cancer charity to help with their fund raising. So far I have made 65 for them.

Hanglar Happy Christmas

I had a bit of a colouring in session yesterday - I printed off and stamped loads of Christmas images and then had a play with my promarker pens.

I just chose a few colour combos, then hoped I had some matching papers somewhere!

These Hanglar girls were the first to be finished off, still have lots more to do.

My Grandad will be 100 years old!

I can't believe my Grandad will be 100 years old soon. He is an amazing man who still lives on his own and loves growing his own fruit and vegetables. He even has a girlfriend from the nearby old folks home! On the other side of the family, my grandmother just celebrated her 95th birthday so I hope I have inherited their genes.

Charity Cards off to a good home

Like many of you, I make far too many cards for my own use so I advertised them on my local Freecycle site to see if any charity or community group would like them to help with fund-raising. So now the local Womans Refuge, Childrens kids club and MacMillian Nurses will be getting 25 each to help them.

Jade & Teal!

I really got into using the Jade/Teal colour scheme - particularly with brown or rusty reds. This one uses a piece of recycled jade coloured card which was originally a folder from work. I run this through the Cuttlebug and layered it with Kaiser craft Gypsy sisters die cuts and a marianne designs flower

Teal Blog Candy for Ovarian Cancer

I have only just stumbled upon this, but Sue has a fab pile of candy if you can help her with her fund raising for Ovarian cancer - she is asking for cards made with a teal colour scheme for a craft event next week - so you must post them off to her quickly!

These are the ones I am going to send her and I hope she raises loads of dosh for such a good cause!

A Couple of Christmas Nitwits

I've decided that this year I'm going to use a pale blue and purple colour scheme for most of my Christmas cards - mainly because of these fab NitWit papers that are free with Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine. I also have downloaded a NitWit Great Expectations kit which is ideal for any New Baby cards. I'm also tempted by their Gone Fishing and Halloween Hooligan collections as well!

Hanglar/Spring Fling Session!

Often I don't have clue how my cards will turn out - I just grab an image or paper and have a play.

But today I was organised and decided to use these lush Spring Fling papers by the Wild Rose Studio that I got from Debbis candy giveaway and team them up with 3 cute Hangler girls. Coloured with my new promarker pens of course.

I think the sitting girl card is a bit too 'busy' but hopefully someone will like her.

Thank You Debbi - Wiccababe

The Blog Candy I won from Debbi arrived today in 2 parcels! There were Sugar Nellie stamps stamps, yummy papers, stickers, gorgeous charms and of course, 20 different promarker pens!

All thought of housework was banished and I dived in to use them and the first card I had to make was to thank Debbi herself. These goodies will keep me busy for ages.

Lili of the Valley Cat

I just love these cute little Lili of the Valley die cut cats, this is the last of them so I think a shopping trip to get some more is called for!

My Grandmother is 95!

My Grandmother, or Special Nannie as we call her, will be 95 years old this week. She is an amazing lady who still lives on her own. Apart from a bit of deafness and forgetfulness she is in really good health and enjoys a glass of Baileys every now and then!
Happy Birthday Special Nannie!

Hanglar Cyclist

The image is a cute hanglar boy on his bike and I've used autumn colours and a little felt bunny rabbit as embellishment.

No time for crafting this week as it is my Nieces Wedding tomorrow - this wedding is a full traditional wedding in a small country church and has been planned over the last two and a half years! Congratulations and best wishes for the future Kerry & Glenn.

Craft Stamper ATC Swap

I received these 2 great atcs as part of the 'Wings and Things' atc swap that was arranged by Craft Stamper Magazine.

The blue one features spring elusive images and is by Karen Cooke and Butterfly flutter has a crackle glaze on the tags and was made by Michelle Baugh - aren't they great!

Wise Old Owl Cards

I just love the fab autumn owl papers from this months Making Cards Magazine. I was given a £15 voucher as a thank you for helping out at work. So I blew it all in my local craft shop!

I treated myself to a cosmic shimmer mist, daisy punch, prima flowers and this magazine.

Pagan Wolf Card

Well - I'm on a bit of a roll tonight and have made 7 Christmas cards including this one for a pagan friend. The wolf in trees was a digi image and I just need to find the right sentiment to go on it for her !

I now have a blog where I sell cards suitable for pagans to send or receive over christmas time at pagancards.blogspot.co.uk

Christmas Mojo has arrived!

I bought Quick Cards Made Easy magazine today and the free Christmas snow globe card kit has inspired me to start making my Xmas cards at last!

Not using their snow globe shape but a square card with my round and labels nesties to layer their cute Reindeer - I also added a spot of red silkies to his nose to make it stand out!

A Rose by any other name..

Another fairly simple card featuring a rose from the docrafts goodie back and my trusty Martha Stewart lace punch! The two kittens are growing fast and very mischievous - any craft materials left on the table are inspected and played with, Promarker pens are a favourite to roll off the table!

I've got a Present and Its Not Christmas Yet!

I just can't get in the Christmas spirit yet, I got my box of xmas stamps and papers out but don't feel inspired to start using them yet whilst it is still summer, so I have put them away until September! This card I made with some of the stuff from the docrafts goodie bag I bought last week.

But I am very excited to discover I have won Debbi's blogaversary candy which has 20 (yes 20 !) promarker pens and loads of fab papers, sugar nellie stamps and other goodies. I feel very lucky - perhaps I will go out and buy a lottery ticket!

Another Summer Willow WOJ CArd

Couldn't resist making another card with this lovely image of Willow from Whiff of Joy - this time with a pink and raspberry colour scheme.

I also popped out to The Range just to buy some fence preservative and guess what - the latest Docrafts Goddie bag just fell into my basket! Its full of lovely pink and girly bits that look fabulous!

Summer Willow WOJ Card

Isn't this a sweet image of Summer Willow by Whiff of Joy. I wanted to try a different combination of colours - I don't think I have used mainly red and lilac before!

Willow is coloured with promarkers and she has a Marianne flower and Martha Stewart doily lace trim

New Camera

Horray my new camera has arrived - didn't realise how much I would miss not having one for a few days, couldn't put anything to sell on eBay and couldn't update this blog or post on the docrafts site! Anyway here are a couple or cards I made yesterday, the Get well card looks a bit too' busy' for me

Boys eh!!

I made this Beatles themed card for my son who is really into them at the moment ( I blame X-box for the Beatles Rock Band game). I let him have 3 friends over for a sleepover to celebrate his birthday and what happens ..... he manages to break my digital camera whilst taking some photos and messing about. He is going to have to give me some of his birthday money towards a new one as I can't manage without one - how would I keep this blog up to date?
