Another Trip to Craftmania, Norfolk.

As my daughter wanted another trip to Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park in Lowestoft last weekend, I had another chance to visit Craftmania, which is nearby in Gt Yarmouth. This time I decided to stock up on some Christmas goodies. I can highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, don't be put off that it is on an industrial estate, it just means the shop is soo much larger and the parking is free!
They have a really wide selection of Hunkydory, as well as lots of other makes. This time I took my list of Versa Fine Clair ink pads, so I could buy up some of the missing colours.
And this is the first card that I made using one of the Hunkydory Daisy Days Pocket pad images

More cards made with the items I bought at Craftmania in Gt Yarmouth, I thought this image from the Hunkydory Feline Fabulous pad worked well for a Anniversary Card

And this card uses a background paper and die cut sentiment and giraffe that I bought there too. The wooden toucan I have had forever in my stash!

and this oval lily image from an older Hunkydory pad  and fitted perfectly with the oval floral border from the bargain paper pack

Tip Top Toppers

Looking around my craft room, I realised I have far too many backing papers and coloured cardstock piling up.
So I found a bargain lot of  random toppers on eBay to try and help use some up!
They are from Hunkydory, Create & Craft and Kanban and cover a whole range of subjects.
I was very pleased with the selection and in the last 2 days have made 18 cards
and still have so many, many more left to use!

Lavinia Stamps ..... Hares

As well as the stag stamp, I also bought some Hare stamps from Lavinia Stamps recently.

The set of 3  hares work quite well on the Hunkydory twilight background paper

Before & After

We all have some images or toppers that we don't like or are not our style in our stash, don't we!

I had these vintage style Hunkydory toppers for ages but didn't like the Lady in the middle - I finally realised I could cover her up and use them!

I don't know why it didn't occur to me before.
Same with this one with the corset, much happier with the finished card.

Another Woodware Stamp

I also  recently bought this bubble bloom stamp with the 'get well soon' sentiments - always a useful addition to the stock. Filled in the circles with a selection of card candy and Nuvo drops again.

I've also made a couple of  garden bird themed birthday cards,  I'm still using up the watercolour wings topper pack that I bought back in 2019

More Feathers

For ages now I've been hunting for my favourite feather shaped die. I haven't been able to find it for months and had to rely on stamping out feathers or using a smaller die to decorate my cards (like on the card on the left)

Then I picked up a pad of background papers, and there it was, stuck to the back! I was so pleased and made a couple of garden bird themed cards to celebrate.

Charity Shop Bargains

Somebody must have been having a big clear out of their craft room as there was a large pile of brand new, unused card making stuff at my local charity shop when I popped in last.

There was a lot of Hunkdory items -books of  toppers, card making packs, sheets of sentiments as well as paper pads and die cuts.

I spent £15 and picked up a lot of  bits to keep me busy for quite a while - and left some for other crafters to enjoy too!

Watercolour Wings

I bought  the Hunkydory Watercolour Wings topper deck back in August 2019 and I still have quite a few left, so yesterday I dug them out and made these three bird cards - each using a die cut branch and 3 feathers as embellishments.

The date to move house still looks a long way off yet, so I am enjoying time in the craft room whilst trying not to buy new stuff and using up what I have accumulated over the years!

Knitting and Sewing

These are both hobbies that have become so much more popular since lockdown, so I thought I would make some themed  birthday cards for those who enjoy these pastimes. Both cards feature real buttons!

Hunkydory Robins

Christmas card production is now in full swing and this selection of robin cards were made from the Hunkydory Festive Birdsong Topper pack

I just love a traditional 'robin in the snow' Christmas card - and luckily so do some of my friends and family!

Colours of the Autumn

I bought myself the latest copy of Simply Cards Magazine with these lovely Autumnal trees, leaves and sentiment stamps

And I teamed them up with a Hunkydory background sheet that I bought at my recent charity shop haul.

to make these Autumn themed cards - won't be long now til the leaves start falling off the trees!

More Charity Shop Bargains

Popped in to one of my favourite charity shops for St Elizabeth Hospice and found loads of card making stuff!

I picked up loads of Hunkydory shopper sheets in a whole variety of styles

A complete cardstock pack from Hunkydorys Watercolour wings selection, retails at £12.99 - pleased about this, as I already have the matching topper deck.

A large pack of embellishments and toppers from Craftwork Cards

Plus some cute Christmas card kits and lots of Christmas banners from Lakeland  - all for £5.00. The first cards that I made all featured birds.

Buttons and Bows

I have added a few buttons and bows to some of the images from the Hunkydory Topper pads I bought recently to make some quick vintage style cards for the charity box. It was all that I felt like doing in the hot, humid heat we had last week.

Twilight Makes

I'm still using up the background papers from the Hunkydory Twilight under the Sea pad that I bought last year

As well as the Hunkydory Twilight Kingdom pad that I bought back in June 2017! Despite making loads of cards with these papers, there are still loads left!
