Paper Cuts - Holly Berry Die

A while ago I bought this Holly Berry die from Creative Expressions, so now its time to make some Christmas cards with it!

This one just uses a burgundy and gold mat with matching ribbon to set it off

Whilst this uses a vintage printed vellum ( that I have had for years!) with some Nuvo drops to highlight the berries. Three different cards in different colour schemes and styles to show how versatile it can be!

Tattered Lace - Lilies

I'm becoming more of a fan of the Tattered Lace Magazine and have bought issue 68 because of the beautiful lily bouquet dies and papers.

I know it is very expensive at £12.99, but I have found that I have used previous dies over and over again, because of the different colour ways you can download.

And here is proof of the shoes and handbag design from issue 66, that I have just used in the orange colour with a scrap of my hand made distress oxide inky background

Spellbinder Shapeabilities Oval Heirloom Dies

I know these have been around a long time, but I have only just discovered them whilst looking for a nice oval border die!

I like their flexibility so that you can cut a matching fussy edge background to layer the border

plus there is a fancy label to go in the centre - that just matches the oval sentiments from Craftwork cards that I use all the time

More Stags at Christmas

I know I shouldn't have, but I have bought the Winter Forest die by XCut, because I love the stag and deer silhouette.I saw it at a demo at The Range and fell in love!

I cut them out in black card and have layered them against some snowy countryside scenes from last years Christmas cards. They don't look to bad, do they?

Great Free Gifts!

I just love the free gifts that came out with magazines this month! The Poinsettia nesting dies from Papercraft Essentials are a lovely size and the dove from Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine is so pretty.

I managed to combine both of them in this Christmas card.

And I added the dove to this wedding card I made made previously. I have made another dozen or more poinsettia flowers yesterday from scraps of red and green paper  - so another Christmas card session beckons today!

One Die - Several Cards!

I treated myself to some back copies of the Tattered Lace magazine, as there was a '3 for the price of 2' offer on. Today I have been playing with the free Summer Pasture die from issue no 7.
I have enjoyed colouring it in with Promarkers and cutting it up for different effects. I hope to get a lot more use out of this die!

Bird on a branch

The 'small bird on a branch' is one of my favourite dies from Marianne Creatables, I love the silhouette of the bird and have used here on 3 different but similar square birthday cards

Waste not....

As I am on strike today and the weather is a bit miserable, I might as well make the most of it and do some crafting!

This card was made using the left over waste from die-cutting out some black scroll shapes as a background. Doesn't look too bad, does it!

More Black cats!

A couple of ATC's and a black lace birthday card that all incorporate a walking black cat - I'm thinking this die by Poppy stamps might turn out to be my new favourite!

Just loving this Marianne Bird

This 'bird on a branch' has got to be one of my favourite dies. Its from Marianne Creatables and looks fabulous as a silhouette.

I know I have featured an ATC and a sympathy card made with it before on my blog but couldn't resist posting this latest birthday card for a male birdwatcher friend as well.
